Yes what I’m about to say is petty, and I really DGAF.

Although half of it deals with facebook, I’ll write it here because no one will bother to read it that I’m talking about. Note: only half is about facebook, before I go on. Somethings been bothering me about people for about three years and its two things, and they are stupid and petty, and that’s why its taken me three years to actually say something about it. But it’s built to a point and you know once the straw breaks, its done.

1. Facebook: Somehow I always read about these great adventures of friends where they tag who they were with. That’s not the problem. Kudos for them for living life. My problem (while stupid and petty, again, I already know this) is that whenever *me* and a person (and again, generalizing as this has happened with more people than I care to mention or count) do anything at all, nothing is ever said. I’m really beginning to feel like that person who people are friends with as long as their other friends don’t know. Like, it’s ok to be my friend, just don’t talk about it. This is happening more and more WITH more and more. I’m worried about even tagging people any more–what if one of their friends sees? (sarcasm). Don’t get me wrong. I almost never get out of the house. I almost never do anything with anyone, so obviously the times I do go out, I notice. I hear about stupid mundane days spent with other people….don’t I get to be stupid and mundane? (No, obviously just stupid and petty…) I’m just really sick and damn tired of never being mentioned. Ever. It’s like, objectifying my whole existence. I’m really beginning to feel like whats the point?

2. Not facebook: You ever been with a friend and they get a call? Of course. But lemme tell you how it plays out in my world:

  1. They answer the phone. Someone asks what theyre doing. They answer “nothing, you?” I’m apparently nothing. Thanks. Then, to add insult to injury, they stay on the phone. Well, thanks. You’re AWESOME company.
  2. You call them while they’re with a friend. You get “OH _____ IS HERE/ON THE OTHER LINE CAN I CALL YOU BACK?!” Yeah, that woulda been nice when you were with ME and THEY called but apparently thats only a one way street, got it.
  3. Person gets a text. They proceed to have lengthy conversation with person while hanging out with me.
  4. I text a person. It may or may not get answered next Tuesday.

Call it whatever you want. Hell, just reading it I can see how it sounds. But Jesus Fucking Christ I am SO fucking tired of being number 2, 3, 5, 17, 100 when I go above and beyond for people all the time. Not only am I not appreciated but jesus…. whatever, I got this out thats all that matters.

It’s not about “anti-gay” comments…it’s about 75 other laws.

For the past few days, facebook is blowing up about the “Duck Dynasty” saga. Is it free speech? Should he lose his job? Etc. etc. Alot of my feed is backing him…well, the straight, white, christian ones anyway. Its a little different when you’re included in the tirade.

What about the whole thing bothers me the most? Well, lets start with what was said: via CNN:

“In an interview in the January issue of GQ, Robertson says homosexuality is a sin and puts it in the same category as bestiality and promiscuity. It seems like, to me, a vagina — as a man — would be more desirable than a man’s anus. That’s just me. I’m just thinking: There’s more there! She’s got more to offer. I mean, come on, dudes! You know what I’m saying? But hey, sin: It’s not logical, my man. It’s just not logical,” he’s quoted as saying. Asked what, in his mind, is sinful, Robertson replied: “Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.” “Don’t be deceived,” he was quoted in GQ. “Neither the adulterers, the idolaters, the male prostitutes, the homosexual offenders, the greedy, the drunkards, the slanderers, the swindlers — they won’t inherit the kingdom of God. Don’t deceive yourself. It’s not right.”

The man was asked a question and he answered with what he believed in. No harm in that. Stupid, yes. Why? A&E is employing you and you are a face of their brand. They are not going to want to be tagged with being supportive of anti-gay behavior when we’re in the middle of a equality revolution. Was it “unfair” to fire him? That could be argued all day. It happens everywhere. A teacher makes a bad comment about something on facebook, and is fired. A cop says something racist on facebook, is fired. Why did he think he would be any different? Hes a public figure that should have been a little more hesitant in what he replied. A&E had every right to save their ass, and they did. Am I personally angered by him not backing gays? No. He’s entitled to his opinion. The part that is upsetting me is simple:

“Start with homosexual behavior and just morph out from there. Bestiality, sleeping around with this woman and that woman and that woman and those men.”

This alludes that if you’re gay, you’re going to morph into some kind of bestiality driven monster. That, instead of two people loving each other (of the same sex, and species) to a person who fucks animals. How does one even go from one step to the other. That’s like saying if you use candy cigarettes you’re going to OD on meth. What? Exactly.

And as for “who will inherit the kingdom of God” I wonder who told him specifically who all would be included.

My biggest issue with this in GENERAL, is that people that cherry pick verses from the bible (esp. leviticus and its 76 laws) and try to say one sin is greater than another. Sin is equal. There are many things in that same chapter of the bible that I’m sure he’s commiting himself. Everything from working on Sunday, cutting your hair, wearing blended material, eating fat, touching an unclean animal, letting your hair become unkempt, eating an animal which doesn’t both chew cud and has a divided hoof, touching the carcass of the above, should I go on? But please, lets focus on a vague statement that could be taken into many different contexts, and say how its “more” of a sin than all the above you are commiting?

If you’d like to see how many ways you’re going to hell, check out some of the laws: http://hill-kleerup.org/blog/2012/06/13/76-things-banned-in-leviticus-and-their-penalties.html

Don’t judge a person because they sin different than you.

How Facebook brings (tears) us apart

Facebook honestly makes me feel like shit.

I hate it.

If it wasnt one of the only ways for me to be social id just deactivate it. My family all sucks and acts like theyre better than me. People get upset with me for me being me. People wanna kill your happiness coz theyre selfish pricks who want everyone else to feel as bad as them. No one actually is happy FOR anyone, its all just sugarcoated bullshit. Get a car? Post a picture! Get 12 likes, a handful of comments, and next week youre the watercooler topic! “OMG…did you SEE that car? I wonder what she paid for it? I thought they were broke?” No one gives two shits about your kids pictures, your animals pictures, what you do good in life. Got a new job, get a few likes. Post a picture of your salad for dinner, get twice as many.

We only post the good things to let everyone know how happyhappy our lives are so people can envy us, and those with the balls enough to be real on here, get shitslammed. Either were “attention seeking” or “unappreciative” or whatever you want to insert here. “You shouldn’t talk about ____ on the internet!” Well, why not? If I can post what Im having for dinner or that Im pregnant, why can’t I complain that my husband trashed my house or Im upset we are broke for the week? Why do I have to be all happyhappy all the time? Thats not REAL. Thats not LIFE.

I literally lost more than a few decades long friends over a fucking SOCIAL MEDIA SITE. Like, what the hell does that say for the 15+ years of friendship? If Id never gotten facebook would I still have those friends? Is that BETTER or WORSE? Better coz I had them, but worse because Id never know that how I REALLY think and feel makes them run screaming into the night? Does anyone remember the shitstorm that happened once you could “arrange” your top 8 on MySpace? Jesus!

I am a total mixed bag on social media any more. The only way people talk is thru this shit anymore. And you deactivate it? No one even TEXTS practically! And a PHONE CALL? Fucking UNHEARD of! It might “bring us together” but I think it drives us apart more than anything. I mean, you may be able to keep in contact with your cousin who moved to Japan a hell of a lot quicker and cheaper now, but what about your friend down the road? That you see maybe once a month, but chat it up on facebook/twitter/whatever? Gone are the days of phone calls. Of visits. Do you even know (without looking at your cell phone directory!) your best friends phone number? I don’t. I know phone numbers from third grade, but I couldn’t tell you a phone number off the top of my head other than my moms and my husbands, and the only reason I know my husbands is because it used to be my old phone number!

Start a business, ask some people for help in the “like” process. Can’t get them to hit like, but theyll hit like for TEENSWAGLYRICS.

People adding you just so they can stalk you. See if youre doing worse than them. Then if you are, they feel great about themselves. If youre doing better than them, however? Lets see what can be said to bring them down to my level! Why can’t anyone just be HAPPY for people anymore? Is it really THAT HARD?

Can I just say how much I hate the new Youtube Channel setup?

I just uploaded a video on there about “The Sound Around The World” that I witnessed…and the first thing I notice is they’ve changed the layout–again–and its fucking HORRID.

I LIKED my old set up much better, thank you very much.

WHY do internet sites constantly want to “upgrade” their appearance? Tumblr, Facebook, Youtube…have you not learned, we HATE CHANGE.

Why “fix” something that isn’t broken??

2-12-13 Hate is Hate.

Word of advice. Don’t piss me off on the internet.

I’ve taken to twitter, tumblr, facebook, and now wordpress.

I am active in the LGBT community, seeing as I am a member and all. I follow many, many PRO-LGBT sites all over social media.

The past couple days a certain one I follow started posting pictures of Chris Brown and calling him names and saying that the reason he and Frank Ocean were in a fight was because Chris is a homophobe and he “punched a gay man”. Well, Ocean is BI, not gay. From media stories, it was over a parking spot, and escalated. To claim it was over orientation is incorrect. (Don’t think I can stand Brown, he is a pathetic excuse for a “man”.)

Tonight, however, I managed to get blocked from one. Why? For pointing out that they are nothing but hate spewing jerks themselves. (I wasn’t the only one blocked, others were too…anyone who dared to point out the hypocrisy of being an “anti hate” site…while posting name calling, bashing, and telling your customers to (and I quote) “wake the fuck up or shut the fuck up.”

Hate is hate. Whether you feel it is “warranted” or not. And to go on a COMPANY WEBSITE (they sell clothes, jewelry and more on their website) such as their facebook and gloat about “it was fun deleting people” (paying customers!) and other statements, is just unprofessional. To post things to your OWN facebook is one thing, but this is speaking for an entire company and ALL the employees. I emailed their company, hoping that it is one person (and NOT the whole company!) that is posting things such as:

I didnt even SEE the first picture, as I was on my phone, but was reading the comments, which were full of people upset by the image. I was more annoyed by the comments, which is why I started commenting. The second one has already been taken off their facebook, but is still on their twitter. So its ok to insinuate someone is gay in a picture, as an insult? From a site that is “against hate”? That they are attacking beliefs because they feel its ok?

They conveniently deleted all my comments–which mind you were not vulgar, offensive, or anything that should be taken down. They took them down due to the fact they couldn’t handle the BARRAGE of people that were offended. Anyone who posted anything remotely against what they were saying was deleted.

I think that this site POSTING HATE while using the guise of a ANTI HATE organization is DISGUSTING and they either need to STOP or change their name. HATE IS HATE.

2-1-13 When Pandora radio attacks.

I always have music on. I spend alot (and I mean ALOT) of time in my car. I have a 3 hour trip to school twice a week. I put 26k miles on my car in 13 months. Ive put 6k on it since November 19. Pandora radio is kind of my best friend. I have ECCLECTIC taste. 1950s. 1980s. 1990s! (seriously the BEST ten years of music, EVER.) Current. Reggae. Rock. Punk. Emo. (fuck R&b!) My pandora stations are all over the place. My best channel is Hollywood Undead. Anyone who uses Pandora knows that the more you listen, all the channels kind of merge together based on how you rate songs. So while I might BE on the Hollywood Undead channel, Goo Goo Dolls are a regular on it.

I see posts all the time about how people LIVE music. While I’m glad people love music, there are some people that literally are so sensitive to music, it can change their moods within seconds. In one car ride, I can be jamming to rock, thumping to rap, and crying into my steering wheel from memories. Now, (and here’s where I will lose 90% of you) I am a firm believer in…shall we say…new age. That all things are energy. That we can communicate with energy.

Which is why Pandora freaks me the fuck out 90% of the time.

I was babbling on facebook one night about how Pandora was…talking to me. It had been in alot of new age news about electronics being used as a…device…to get points across. I stated the fact how, I knew within minutes at the rate of the radio, a certain song would be on.

With in ten minutes, guess what happened? I of course took a photo and posted it on facebook.

My music has saved my life on many occasions. I know others that have felt this way, and had this happen. While this entire article sounds insane to most people, others may just know what I’m talking about. This will affect not just us empaths, but also “normal” people. That when we put on music, certain songs just HAVE to come on. To help us, to give us memories, to haunt us, to make us remember. What is life without memories? What is life without lessons? Even the worst of times have good things that come from them.

Always hear the signs, always listen to your heart, and always follow the music.

After all, when you open up “Pandora’s Box”, you never know what comes from it. 😉

1-10-13 Like and Share BS

I don’t know where it started. Maybe it was tumblr. On tumblr, when you “like” something you hit a little heart, and it marks it and ups the count number. If you reblog it, you get another. The more “notes” something gets the more popular it is.

The past few months on facebook, there has been a sudden flooding of “like and share” pictures. Now, I’m ok with that. What I’m NOT ok with is these absolute BS posts of sick children (one like=one prayer!!1!1!), abused animals (one like= slap to an abuser!1!1!), domestic abuse, etc, etc.

First of all, the people who make these don’t even CARE about the topic they are exploiting. They just want to be popular and passed around facebook like some kind of venereal disease. They are disgusting and pathetic attention whores that get off on it.

Another absolutely annoying “like and share”: LIKE IN THREE SECONDS IF… Come on. Really? “OMG GUISE! ITS A PHONE! I KNOW WHAT A PHONE IS! *LIKE*”. It clutters up my news feed.

And one that drives alot of people insane, including myself “LIKE IF YOU LOVE YOUR MOTHER OR KEEP SCROLLING IF YOU HATE HER”. Guilt trips? Seriously? No, I keep scrolling because what you are doing is stupid and pointless.

Has the internet really come to people exploiting children with cancer just so they can say “LOOK! I started a post and it has 300k likes!” If your life is that boring, please step away from your computer and go find something in real life that fulfills you. Please.

1-1-13 The Beginning

Alright so its now technically 1-2-13 but its still 1-1-13 somewhere on the planet so technically Im safe.

Im going to (and Ive said this before) attempt to actually do a “day by day” and now since the world hasnt ended and were back at day 1, guess there is no better time than now.

When I was twelve and first heard about the mayans, I thought, well Ill be 30 then, thats so far away. Well, its came and passed, and man it didnt really take that long to get here. Thats something Ive come to realize recently after becoming so entangled in social media. Why you ask? I have a tumblr among other sites, and I read all these “Teenage relatable” posts and you know what boys and girls? There is no difference in my 30 year old brain as there was when I was 13. Sure, now I’m a grown adult and I pay bills, own my home, and have been married for what seems like ever (in Hollywood we’d be a golden couple by now.) but everything I read is still true to this day.

1. Music and how it relates to life. Hell, this may be even MORE relatable at 30 than at 13. We’ve had more life at this point. There are days I just sit and listen to songs on repeat for hours. (Currently song of choice is Those Nights-Skillet.) Which is ironic due to the fact Im a rather huge fan of this christian rock band while being a pagan.

2. Friends and how they work. It never changes. As the song High School Never Ends-Bowling For Soup very correctly states, it just changes in the way of the world. Theres still the drama and the bullshit, the backstabbing and jealousy, except this time its over how much your yearly salary is or what car you drive instead of your ipad.

3. Celebrity stalking and being a fangirl. Yes, its true, we are still the same girls we were at 13, we just hold it a little better inside than we did then. We may not put posters on our walls, but our pinterests may be covered with our favorite actor, singer, or show.

4. When we tell our children “we’ve been there” we REALLY have. We don’t just tell you that to make you feel better or to make you feel like you arent important. We have been there, done that, and wished we never did. We all had that broken heart, that backstabbing bitch of a best friend, had the rumors spread about us, hated our bodies, felt stupid. But we’re still here. And you will be too.

5. We still have dreams and wonder what we’ll be “when we grow up”. A lot of people are in a job they hate wishing they could be a doctor or a singer or president. Some of us will do it. Some of us can only dream about it. We can only tell you, that life never goes as planned, always have a plan B, and to roll with it. Sometimes life has plans for us that we never even knew.

The year 2012 and the years leading to it have been crazy. A part of me always really did believe the world would end (in what context, I never really did know) whether the power would go out due to a solar flare, some aliens came, a God returned, or the zombie apocolypse occured. I lived a lot of my life wondering, “what’s the point in doing anything important? What is life after 2012?” Well, here we are, and its after 2012. So whats the point?

The point is to live, and live to the fullest. Don’t spend your lives in fear, insecurity, and self loathing. You have one life. Make it count.
